I have been visiting the forums on and off for awhile and decided to purchase a game today.

I went to the order page and tried to log in with my forum log-in and received an error message. So I made another account there and it seemed to be the "Member Club" area.

Now I go back to the forum page for the game (I am shown as "logged in as XXX") I select the buy now link and get directed to another page. Here I am shown as "welcome xxx" my Members club log-in.

If I try to click on the next button I get a "Secure connection Failed" message.

Do I need another log-in from somewhere else to purchase? Or am I doing something wrong here?

I wish it was as easy as GoG.com

Hope I get this sorted before the Christmas specials finish.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you should worry in the sense of missing the specials. Just your post here proves you are trying to buy during the Christmas special and therefore, Matrix will probably honor that I am sure.

I am sorry I do not know what trouble you may be having except the only thing I might know is that I have trouble using Firefox which has been my default browser for 3-4 years. I have had to fire up Internet Explorer to make my sales go through. Others have had this issue as well. It was brought up before on the forums but I am unsure if anything was resolved. As I am able to buy through IE, I have never really worried much more about it. -> A minor inconvenience is all, to me.

I switched to Explorer and have been able to purchase the game, but unfortunately not download it. Explorer times out before I can download it. I have ADSL2 and normally have no problems with large files with forefox, but no luck with explorer so far. The download speed was very slow less than 100 kbs. Normally from places like GoG.com I get 900 + kbs.

Not sure what my next step will be.

Edit, finally downloaded and have the game installed, it was just a little more difficult than I have previously experienced.[:)]
