...so says Robert Leckie in an episode of "The Pacific". After starting yet another attempt at a long campaign, and using "low carnage" settings in my preferences, I believe in it, too. With Inf Toughness set at 150%, and those Japanese launching banzai charges against my outnumbered Marine squads, my ATG, mortar and MG crews are using plenty of ammo.

Command & control is OFF, and I left Auto Rally ON. Other than that, the ratings are set the same as your guidelines. For a core force of 114 units, I thought it OK to keep micromanagement in place, and even with Auto Rally ON, I still need to restore cohesion manually at the start of each turn. Sorry, but I don't like the C&C rules.

What was interesting is that when my Dad saw the above picture, he said they were still using those 'pigtails' to run c-wire in Vietnam.
