Probably you are not aware of that, but if you don't feel as average user please don't try to do this.

As we all know, not everybody likes to keep his saved games in My documents. So if you don't like it, and would prefer to keep them locally in the game, follow this steps:
Go to the main game folder (where ToF.exe is located), open CoreSettings.ini file with any text editor.
Change the value from true to false and voila. Now the settings.ini and save games are kept in the main game folder.
You can revert this by changing the entry in CoreSettings.ini back.

Have fun.

how about a way to save to a different folder altogether, like a dropbox folder, so the save file could be used on different computers?

I use Dropbox, wherein I have a dropbox folder on all my PCs, and that folder is mirrored on the Dropbox cloud server. Synced. Would be nice to be able to save files to the Dropbox folder. But not nice enough for you guys to put any effort into it.

So the dropbox is a local folder in your PC?

sure, if it's simply configurable in the ini file, perhaps. But as I said, this should be like 5000th on your priority list.
