click on a coastal hex where they are allowed, then on the icon for mulberry in that hex's info box.

They are vulnerable, so make sure you have sea and air control, not to mention a well-defended bridgehead. They also won't last forever. I think it's 8 weeks, providing 20 level supply.

Now that's funny, freeboy.  it's insulting to point to a page in the manual?  Com'on man.

Here's page 80 from the manual

17.5. MULBERRY SUPPLY
A Mulberry is a special unit that can be built up on a coastal hex. By default it costs 300 PP and
provides 20 supply for two months.
To build a Mulberry, look at the information panel on the left side of the map. Now click on a
land hex that you control next to the sea. There will be a small icon that will be highlighted if
you can build it. Click it.

I guess I'm not the only one thinking this but......if we could create a new type of Mulberry, change its name to Depot, add some code to allow placement on land only(cities?).....and you have a nice variant for a different supply system? [;)]

Of course it would mean all the scenarios would have to be changed/recreated to ft this so a lot of work. But then again look how they took CEAW and made it into CEAW 2.0 Gold.

Just a thought.

well, the entire supply system is VERY simple, and although it is noce that units must be in supply, it is TOO easy to supply moving spearheads into the enemies territory, so perhaps in a future version of this game we can address a new more complex level of supplies.. one that keeps in the spirit of simple yet restricts the players to a more reasonable use of land unis spearheading into enemy territory...
I am not complaining, just saying a higher decrease in supplies with an added depot, would make an intereesting addition as Plain Ian mentioned...

Current supply system does work and it is simple. Adding land Mulberries/Depots would add a sort of logistics to the game so yes it makes it more complicated. Some players will hate this complication and some will love it.

Plus if the code is not there this also need to be added.

Plus the scenarios would all need to be revised and balanced. Not an easy task. If you want to cater for everyone...then you need to make Depots an Option and create specific scenarios for this Option. HPS Panzer Campaign games being an example.
That keeps everyone happy.

Much as I'd like to see this added the game the game has gone to far for this to be a realistic option I guess.

[:-]not true, we  should look to the NEXT version of this.. with some addons , things like a supply system and all the other simple, intuitive items, reactive armor behind the lines.. etc etc etc.. any area.. land sea air could add a layer of detail.. not to say it cannot be fun now, just thinking out loud as you are...
and yeas, code and revision forhte future, today lets try to get the balance ...!
now where is that patch lol[:-]

I'm just uploading the patch, so the guys at Matrix can check it and create installer for you.

However I'm living in the countryside and uploading takes ages.
