Just switched to TOAW on Windows 7. It runs slow, sometimes freezes etc... anyone have any clues how to fix this? Know about running as admin etc...
thanks!

I have no probs playing it on W7, works like a charm actually. Did you try the compatibility mode?

Runs like ace under Windows 7 x64, too. And yes, run it under the compatibility mode.

ehm...XP?
What Windows 7 you've got and have you tried running it in Admin mode -> <right-click>, run as Admin?
It starts fine here and I didn't have to fiddle around with any compatibility settings at all.

Very annoying, none of these seem to fix the issue of exceptionally long load times

Then something is fishy on your system. What about the version I've asked you before? What TOAW are you running, what is your system configuration? Alas, even on a Windows 98 system with a P III and 256MB RAM TOAW works more than OK. A few more details in order to picture what the story is... See, we Germans are not perfect, but we're working on it. And I don't have Jedi powers to look into your system. Having said this... Uninstall TOAW, get the CD in and then update it with the latest patch.
Sorry about it, but sometimes a re-install helps.

Or deactivate your antivirus proggy, that often can interfere with games...at least worth a try to see if it makes any difference.
