Just started a new GC 41-45 and am getting some very strange things happen when trying to conduct 1st turn airfield attacks. When I click on a target the only air groups in the "choose units" window are Stab units even if there are full, and 0% flown,units at the same airbase. Does not appear to affect the Rumanians.

Also the arrows to change air doctrine for airfield, city and unit bombing in the doctrine window are greyed out.

Personally I can't replicate it. Usually it happens other way around, when % to fly is to high and Stab units are failing more ofter to pass this check.

It is recommended to select staging base first, so it would provide "closer" units and more predictable strike.

When you conduct first airstrike mission some particular doctrine settings get disabled till next turn.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have done some more testing and it seems that the "% required to fly" setting almost seems to be inverted. If I set it to 0% I have more planes to choose from than if it is set to 60% and if I go up to 100% I get the "No Bombers in Range" message.

Would a game save file be helpful?

That's the way it works. The less requirement the more can pass it.
