Aw heck, why not?
Game vs Vetkin should be wrapped up pretty soon, at the rate we're playing,
Viking isn't going to need anywhere near 50 turns to hand me my head on a plate,
M4Jess seems to be in no rush to beat me up,
Guess I've got room for one more...

I say, old chap, let's give that dastardly hun a jolly good kicking, what?
I'll line up some Brits for you :)

Alright all deployed and ready for action. This is going to be interesting to say the least looking at the map. I was unable to buy any air thow :(

Yeah, lots of room to maneuver, cover, overwatch positions, it's all there. Even the VHs are somewhat sensible :)

I think I know what went wrong with air support; I set the amount to xxx instead of a fixed number. It then depends on weather and such if planes are available. And as it's 6:00 AM and raining...
Too bad, I was rather counting on Stukas ;)

Anyway, Brittish forces are moving out and already drew first blood.(a sniper) Germans retaliated by blowing up some armoured cars.

Well my forces where not happy about you killing poor old hiez the sniper. His buddies in the 1st Recon Rregiment stormed onto hill 4580 in the south in a rage. They where suprised to find the brits had been preparing an AT defence. As this posed a threat to the panzer2 pit stationed in the south the 2plders where destroyed.

On top of the hill some nasty HMG's where ecouraged to leave. 2 vikers (their so cute :) ) where sighted. Things where progressing as planed for securing 4580 as a recon platform when biker contingents reported after dispatching a scout team sighting of Matties enrout to the hill!

HC now fears for lives of the panzer2 pit stationed and hope they get some lucky shots else bad things could happen.

In other news 88 contingent on the north hill where to busy ducking from art fire to do anything contructive.

 I'd hoped you would've advanced a little more carefully, give those guys time to set up. Shot up some recon in return.
(They're cute, alright ;) )

Bumped into some infantry north of the 88s, not a lot else.

Well you can thank viking for that, I learned in my game with him getting scouting units to key hills fast is vital.

More fighting on that south hill. Recon elemints from boths sides duke it out. You lost a few more vehicals this turn, fighting is getting a little intence. I engaged actual line troops this turn which leads me to belive I may have underestimated your desire for that hill. Feel free to keep those matties where they are :) that is a headache my recon forces don't need to deal with right now :)

In the north nothing new , see you setting up AT (most irritating those 2pld'ers :) ).

Neither seems to desire to run around in that big open field in the middle :)

More fighting in the south between recon forces, intercepted a MC squad trying to sneak around flank. Yes, there's some infantry out there, but that doesn't mean much when you have 4-5 companies worth.;)

In the north, recon troops engage german infantry guarding the AT guns' flank. Lost some vehicles doing so. These armoured car thingies aren't very robust, are they?

As for the middle...
I say, old chap, it would be much appreciated by our men if you'd be so kind as to not shell that meadow too much, or run those tracked contraptions across it. Would be a d*mn shame to ruin such a fine cricket pitch, what?

4 or 5 companies worth eh? Well thats good I was begining to worry I was going to see even more matties. And yes those armoured cars certainly don't take much punishment.

This turn cost me a bit on that south hill, 2 panzer 2's to be exact. One moved to engage your 2 funny looking things you ran down the road. Suprisingly even at 50 yards I had aprox 5% chance of hit. Your return MG fire scared my crew half to death so they leaped from the tank.

I sent ample forces to deal with 2 of those things yet none of them managed to hit them.

The other panzer died while trying to crest the hill. Your BR pit HQ launched a suprise assault, a successful one at that.

In the north not to much rolled a tank up to deal with yet another one of your scout cars.

In the middle my troops are having to be restrained from breaking out the old soccer ball and having a go at it. It just seems so peacefull out there.

Infantry is cheap, plenty of points left for more Mathildas ;)

Hill 4580 cost you a bit more, nailed a PzIV with the AT rifle on a funny thing. Scared the cr*p outof the Stoewer next to it :D
The fighting gets more intense, fire is exchanged between infantry, and there's two more PzIV approaching.

Two more funny things took care of the bikers behind the lines.

Shoot up some more infantry on the hill in the north, spotted some PzIIIs. Taken measures to deal with those. Just hold still for a bit...

Still quiet in the middle, but I can smell Germans hiding in the tall grass...

More action in the south and north. I lose another panzer 2 to the Brit HQ in the south

You lost a couple of those funny looking things this turn :)

Those are cheap too :D

More fighting on the flanks, Mathildas are rolling out to deal with the PzIV in the south, while in the north a 2lber fails to hurt a PzIII.
German infantry doesn't seem to be putting up much of a fight so far, but there's more coming...

Large tank engagment ensues on the southern flank. PzIV's and Matties trade blows, no substantial dmg is sustained on either side. Brit troops on the hill pull back as tanks advance.

In the north a Pz3 throws a few shots at that 2pder but fail to dislog it from the building. Matties are sighted in the north Pz3's pray it's not the same size force as in the south.

This is getting interesting, definitly going to be touch and go in the south facing down that many matties.

The middle is silent as usual.

Touch and go? There's a dozen PzIV on that blasted hill

Sorry, a dozen minus one. Go infantry :D
Mathildas are rolling into battle, hoping there'll be some targets left by the time they get there.

More careful probing in the north, trying to deal with PzIIIs.
Hope those sappers up front work quickly ;)

Lots more action on that south hill. PzIV's fully engage the matties. Two matties die but also at the cost of two PzIV's and an armoured car. Flanking PzIV's engage a flack gun and some sappers also kill one of those nasty little armour carriers. You lost a few inf on top of the hill and one morter but no squads where wipped out. However if your remaining matties die those inf will find themselves surrounded with no means of escape.

Soon as I clean up those remaing matties we will have finialy secured that hill.

In the north nothing really of note, notice the matties are holding their distance for now.

In the middle a butterfly was seen. Was to much excitment for my troops to handle and many passed out from sheer shock of see'ing something.

Another PzIV explodes after a 25lber hits it. The flanking Panzers down south are being held up by Mattilda's, hopefully long enough for the infantry to get their wits together.

Not much changes in the north, neither side seems overly eager to take the initiative.

We have motion in the midfield! A Brittish squad gets spotted by an 88. No doubt some Germans will be showing up soon around that hill.

The term "brutal" does not do that south hill justice. You lose another mattie in the exchange in the south. However I lose another PzIV to sappers

Up north I lost an over eager PzIII whom felt the need after the three return fire shots from the mattie missed to press it's luck and shoot it's MG at it (I hit fire again on accident  ) , the mattie was happy to take aim for a 4th shot and taged it's mark this time.

You also lost that anoying guncar u ran down the road in the north to shoot at my innocent hill guards.

In other news special ops forces are tormenting that little parking lot of veh's you had in that town back there :D

The southern hill is a total mess :D
Mattildas plink the one Panzer they can still see, to no avail.

Decrewed another PzIII in the north, but left a bunch of Mattildas exposed to an 88. Doh, forgot these things don't carry smoke.
OTOH Jerries must be running low by now, so it shouldn't be that much of a handicap.
Also bumped into some FT engineers
Wish I had some of those...

German special ops squads perform a lot better than the SAS.:(
Oh, well at least I found a target for my 8inch batt ;)
