The manual didn't include the section related to the end game. My two main areas of curiosity are:
1) Can the game continue beyond 1945 and if so until when?
2) Is it possible for the end game to morph into a Western Allies vs Soviet Union war a la General Patton's concerns? I realize this might be really stretching things but would be a huge bonus.

I greatly liked TOW in spite of it's limitations and suspect TOF might become addictive.

1) The game ends when there is only one alliance left or until the end of 1948

Just to be sure I understand, after defeating Germany the Western Allies and the Soviets could declare war on each other?

That would be awesome!  Purely as a form of harmless amusement, the reality would be horrible beyond words.

Yes, you can declare war against Soviet Union.

Thank you so much for the fast reply.  The involvement of the developers/programers was one of the hallmarks of my experience with TOW.  Reading the forums I'm seeing a few areas that concern me, uberPanzers and some wildly unrealistic OOBs (50 US carriers showing up anywhere in 1941 is a hallucination), but I'm confident you folks will address these issues.  I'll be buying the game today.
