Crashes regularly...turn 31 thru 34

Playing Yugoslavia....it sort of tries to carry on, then blip...off, back to Patton and Play/launcher.
windows 7 intelcore2QuadCpu Q8300@2.50 GHz
4GB Ram
64 bit Operating System

I played a little this morning....it crashed again...BUT I had started it with the old shortcut.....now, I've started it with the beta shortcut (just noticed it) and the game has lasted a few turns...without crashing.
Will check further when I can later today. (was asking myself if I needed to start a game from scratch.) Now at about turn 40 (grand campaign).
