Can admirals be killed or captured in the game? I seem to recall Yamamato being shot down in 1942ish..Would be interesting to see MacArthur or someone go down with the ship, for instance.

Any TF leader has a chance of going down with his ships. Administrative leaders would not be effected except maybe if the land unit they were leading was on board a transport when it was sunk. Not sure in that case.

In my current game, SOPAC is stranded, supplyless and utterly alone at Tassafaronga, while there are jap inf units all of the rest of G.C. Of course, since it is SOPAC, all my computer routed convoys detoured off into the danger zone to try and rescue them (Without my input) and one group has made it through and is evacuating them now. Only problem is that the transports are too low on fuel to get anywhere but Irau (where there is a 4 jap CV task force parked with a Bombardment TF).

I'll let you know what happens when (not if) SOPAC goes swimming.
