AA Units Defending Bridges

when air units attack bridges with AA units stationed on the same hex as the bridge the air units only seem to get intercepted by defending air units and not by the AA battery. But they seem to have an affect when stationed on airfields ??.

I understand that hexs can be 10km and bigger and the unit is only in the hex and not all parked on the bridge. Is there any way of stationing AA units to defend bridges against any air attacks.

If not (unless i am missing something) is there future scope to have an option to attatch an AA battery to a bridge or even to a unit to defend against air attack.

My tests indicate that AAA units do engage bridge-attack air units (they cause losses to the bombers). They just don't appear in the report - since they themselves are not targeted.

I always wondered about that bit. Thanks for that Bob.

Best wishes,
