In certain situation, the USSR have declared war to the Axis powers.
The boring situation always happens in May 1940 and only IF the winter war is not already won by the Soviets at that time (historically the Finns accepted the armistice at the beginning of March 1940).

This is caused by the Bessaria demand Event (dont remember the number..) which has as the requirement that Finland must be neutral (Winter War finished).

If at the time the Bessarabia event gets triggered in May 1940 the Finnish are still at war with the Soviets (this happens because the very bad Soviet AI, even if at VERY EASY, is not able to defeat the Finns NORMAL AI before May 1940)

I think both these 2 things should be corrected in the new patch.

We have corrected the early war issue for 1.01 patch

How is the USSR defeated?
I'm guessing that all cities must be captured.
Any chance of having SS units be white on black when using counters?
Maybe allow SS to be upgraded one level higher than current tech level by paying a premium for upgrade.

There is a small chance that the USSR will ask for armistice if most of it's important cities will be captured, but the standard rule require to capture all the cities with VP.

Your proposal regarding elite units are really interesting, we will see in the future will be there a possibility to implement any of them.

We have corrected the early war issue for 1.01 patch

I have just played Germany and Finland both as humans in the grand campaign. It is 16-April-1940 and Germany was not in war with the USSR but Finland was. And now the USSR has declared war on Germany.

May it be, that the correction has been revoked?

No, Finland is "neutral Country".

Hmm...
I think I do know now! It seems to be my mistake: As Germany I declared War on Lithuania and attacked it.
Since this country is part of the soviet zone of influence, I think that DOW triggered the event, yes?

I will try again from older saving without that DOW. Then I will know.
