Victory conditions reduced from major ot minor

I am playing the Downfall scenario against the Japanese AI with the latest patch and think there may be a problem with the victory conditions. one day Ihad Major Victory with points at 80515 - 44249. on the very next day I captured Osaka. My points increased and the AI points decreased (Minor Victory 86051 - 35866) but I am only shown minor victory.

Games running longer than 44/45 have a modifying set of conditions to the VL.
These conditions don't take into consideration a small map/short game.

Is Auguat 28, 1946 the vey last day of the game? If so, you suffered the "shift 1 victory level" towards the Japanese for not having finished them off in 1945. I am expecting to suffer the same in my PBEM...

The game ran until Aug 30. According to michaelm it looks like this is WAD.
