Just finished reading the AAR Fall Gelb by GWGARDNER. At the very end he mentions using V1.1 in his game play.

Still considering buying TOF, but waiting for the long anticipated patch 1.01/1.02 and its impacts on play.

I don't see anything in the forum about a 1.1 patch release...does he mean 1.01 in his posting?

what is the point of the autopatcher then? If i do a manual patch will it wreck my multi-player game if they are not patched?

Here's my experience with multiplayer and the patch:

I had games started under 1.0

I had games started under 1.01 beta

I kept two copies of ToF, one each of the above versions.

My 1.01 beta ToF does not see the multiplayer games starteed with 1.0, and vice versa.

Now I upgraded my 1.0 ToF to the 'updated' 1.01 beta (the latest). This version sees the multiplayer games started with 1.0, but not with 1.01 beta (the first beta).

Either Slitherine or Doomtrader needs figure out how to get the NEW 1.01beta to see multiplayer games started with the FIRST 1.01beta.

(note: Matrix should never have labeled the NEW 1.01 beta that way. Should have been called 1.02beta or simply official 1.1, since it was apparently intended by Wastelands to be the official 1.1)

I think it was mentioned that any games started with 1.01 were on a different server, or was that a different game?

Doomtrader indicated that the latest released patch should be the official 1.01 patch. However, Matrix called it an updated beta patch. I'm playing with it, as is Chocolino. We have no problems with it. However, as in my post above, if you are doing PBEM++ then I advise making a separate install folder for the latest patch, safeguarding your current game files.
