Farmland etc.

I'm playing around putting agricultural land around WitE towns and cities, to make a change from the endless steppe.

I have two questions:

1. Would anyone use this if I made a full mod?

2. Hungarian place names first or farmland first?

3. Will there be additional terrain types in WitW? Farmland, Bocage, roads and bridges?

Um, that's THREE questions but I didn't expect some kind of Spanish Inquisition!

I would.

Do you think the map has too much of a green tint to begin with? Also, is it possible to do something along the lines of the Blue Marble mod
that was made for the CIV IV game?

You may be right, although farms and steppe both look green from above ;)

I don't think I have the skills to attempt something so involved as Blue Marble, especially since WitW will replace this map in a year or so.

I would like the Hungarian place names first.

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition...

I'll certainly play with any map mod you make. Your current map mod is a must-have for anyone desiring to make historically-based scenarios; your map mod and a dated Lage Ost map make things a whole lot easier to plot frontline unit locations.

So yeah, bring it on...Hungarian names first.

Noted!

"Our main secret is surprise! Surprise and fear! Our two main secrets are surprise and fear and a fanatical devotion to the Pope. Our three secrets are... I'll come in again :( "

Sometimes a map mod can feel like that!

Adds place names and resource icons to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania etc.

Overwrite your existing files (including a couple of your earlier map mod files) after backing up.

Enjoy!

OK, so who wants farmland? I am thinking, more in central Europe, a bit less in western USSR and then becoming sparse in most central and eastern USSR.

So, can you point me at any farmland graphics you like? Green/brown or yellowing/ripening (for contrast)?

Would you use it? If I get less than 20 'yes' replies then I will save myself the trouble and focus on something else.

I would have to see what it looks like first.

It looks like the image at the top of this post but with either greenish or yellowish rectangles to represent farmland ;)

I was looking for examples of how farmland is represented on game maps that you like. :)
