A New Redleg Tiger Scenario!

Well, I have just posted a new scenario by Redleg "DEBUT OF THE TIGERS" This one is DIFFERENT from that PBEM one he posted here on this Forum!

<RANT>
I wanted to put an image of a Tiger of sPzAbt.502 here, but it seems there is a Leprechaun hidden somewhere that won't let me post it here.:mad:
Anyway, here is the url, in case there anyone is interested:
http://www.fprado.com/armorsite/Banners ... Action.jpg. This is Tiger 21, sPzAbt.502 just after firing, exactly in the historic time and place Redleg's scenario depicts.
</RANT>

Now that I feel a little better, let's talk about this very special scenario, in the designer's own words: "In late Summer, 1942 the first operational Tiger unit was sent to the Leningrad area. Hitler,
anxious to know how the Tigers would perform, decreed that the 4 Tigers should participate in an attack toward Leningrad. The Tiger crews, experienced tankers, were not fully oriented to
their new tanks. The terrain was hilly, wooded, and swampy - not favorable terrain for the large, heavy tanks. The units involved were 502d heavy panzer battalion and 2d shock army."
Another masterpiece from the Great Wizard of the Tiger Scenario Design, the Fabulous, Legendary Redleg! :cool:
Thanks, John, for sharing it with us!:D

Download it at the Armorsite's SPWAW Page!

If you are TIKI-lover like Goblin, myself and our legion of followers, don't expect a walk in the park, ok? ( For those who doesn't know, TIKI was a diminutive for Tiger, and there was a famous Tiger named TIKI serving with the sSSPzAbt.102, 2.SS Panzergrenadier Division "Das Reich"...If you want to take alook at this special Tiger go to: http://www.fprado.com/armorsite/tigers-02.htm - I would put a pic of it here, but... :rolleyes:

Have fun, and thank you all for your support! And take care of your kitties!;)

From this (the pix) angle (I'm sorry Fabio) that is one ugly tank. Otherwise looks can kill, and so can Tigers.;) :rolleyes: :D :cool:

That's the famous Fahrtingtiger Ausf F, a new protoype that was developed for use with chemical weapons (poisonous gas) ;). It is said to be Adolf's own creation...:D

First, I want to thank gmenfan, the Tiger-Admin, who acted fast and got things working OK so fast. A big HURRAH to gmenfan!:D

Second: this Tiger below is not the mythical "Fahrtingtiger". :D :D

Image

It is a Tiger I from sPzAbt.502, fighting in the region that Redleg's scenario depicts.

Third: I admit it is not the most beautiful Tiger photo there is...;) However, it is difficult to find quality action photos of those first Tigers of sPzAbt.502, but I agree you guys deserve a better tiger photo, so here it is:

Image
This is a veteran Tiger of sPzAbt.502. This is one of the first ones even though the photo was taken in the summer of 1943. A real veteran, with many battle scars. I hope you will like this one better ;)

This is strictly classified information, but the action reports say that the KV-1 melted down after being fired with the Fahrtergerät (the new weapon installed at the rear of the Fahrtingtiger). They stopped the trials because of the friendly fire casualties... :D :D :D

Loved it so much I want to share this magnificent view with all others:

Tiger Tank In Action.

5 reasons to own a Tiger Tank:

1. It looks great in one's driveway.

2. No road bully would dare offend you.

3. No parking problems - just roll over any empty cars

4. Safety - it would easily surpass the crash barrier test (it would break the crash barrier)

5. Better than most 4-wheel drive vehicles, especially when going through (not around) buildings :)

Anyway, I think the five arguments above are excellent!! ;)

I hope everybody will enjoy it! :D :D
