I am very interested in purchasing this game. I just have one question. Everything that I am reading about it mentions scenarios that seem to only cover one year of the war at a time. Is there no "Grand Scenario" that covers the entire war?

The Game covers the entire war although there are options to cover several time periods of the war.
Its a great game, easy to play once you learn the interface but hard to master especially as the central Powers.

Thanks, that's good to know. I see that the scenarios have turn limits. For example, the 1914 "Opening Guns" scenario is only three turns. So if I would like to start in 1914 and end in 1918, or beyond, which scenario do I choose to play? I realize that probably seems incredibly stupid, however, I just want to make sure I understand what's going on.

1914. You can play it through to the end.

Yes - you get a "end of year" summary each year, but you can choose to play through - each of the scenarios can go from the starting date through to the end.
