playing against anorak for some months now ,and i have to say he does a good job ...some points though
as you can see now he practically reached the border of the map and without some godly intervention i see him doing that he has now moscou leningrad and stalingrad in his hands...now i really didnt play that bad,the only mistake that i did got punished, is not acting like i did in tarhunnas game thats being offensive ,i played it defensive ,i retreated before he made pockets ,he almost didnt have any except here and there some random few ,the only reason i playt on is how ridiculous it can get with the current supply idiocy because i refuse , to call it a system anymore its very disturbing that patch after patch finnaly destroyed the game more or less for the soviets, the game is not intended to play against a human German player at the moment, anorak told me im the first that plays beyond turn 60 with him....that clearly says something ....

he finally reached approx the border ,there was nothing i could do because he died up al my furces up he screens with rumanians and italians and even them prove to strong still to push on with 1-1 counters

the lines at stalingrad .....doesnt look anything like the scenario :p those numbers are fantastic,i tried to break through to make it for a push to rostov but forget about it tbh, anorak only used to tools delivered and handed to them and he used them masterfully ,seriously dissapointed though in Game 1 i was at least able to stop tarhunnas at stalingrad

its ironic the lines never have been stretched more then now and his defenselines are unbreakable because he put like A 3 layered reserve line behind it

al with regiments ofc ,i do not have the divisions nor the power to break through it
i put half the front on Toe 70 % aswell on static in the hope i finnally get some good powered division and corps sized units,i do have them then but their morale is still feeble and not enough to work with
oh well his plan B can start now and he can push up with that army in the south and try contacting the fins :p
my ammo and supply is just fine if i dare to attack them with lets say 3 good rested corps and some tankcorps i still loose over 200 tanks and prob the have "held" yes i watch that they dont have negative numbers ,good leaders
,nice supply,it bothers me that tankcorps are still that bloody inferior at this point of the war and usseles

This seems to be pretty close to a historical Case Blue, minus the Stalingrad dissaster which probably could have been avoided by the Germans.
Not sure what I can tell you except, he has to have a weak link somewhere. Find it and start pounding.
Build up your morale by staying further than 10 hexes from his nearest unit. Rotate units out, when they get a pounding. Keeping your morale reasonable is a constant job, but it will pay of in the end.

Don't attack were he's expecting you to attack unless you have great stength. Attack where he's weak! This will force him to spread out his reserves, weakening the spot were you wanted to attack in the first place until there comes the point that you can attack even there.

Why don't you move that tank Army down South and attack the Rumanians on his flank, shielding the units going to Grozny?
Now there a target you can easily attack, and if exploited, you could cut off those German units going for the oil...

:p i dont want to be rude because im frustrated like sh*** with this game ,but didnt you think i would do that...i pushed me back to the big River Everwhere on the north so he has the best availble defense
at that point i could only withdraw, then he fortificated the whole thing ,after that he starded sending all his availble panzers south ,he forces me to attack on his strongest point because i dont have other options i had to attack there to at least stall his attack south towards baku, but this will be my last game as soviets anyhow ,it doesnt really matter ,we need more tactical options then just retreating and praying and hoping a good patch will come out of this
you should have see the fortbelt i made before he attacked in the summer ,he went through it like butter

PS: i tested his lines everywhere from the center on till south he placed 2nd layer units in reserve ,they all have Good supply and ALWAYS reacts it seems when i attack ,so every attack got stalled or halted with Heavy losses
so i wont say theres no weak spot but i didnt found it yet
thanks for the advice though

because i made a tank army to do that there supply was so fast out that they were usseles in no time ,i dont know how its possible that that SS unit is so high on numbers and my tank army is all wasted there
if i retreat it i have a big hole there and the only thing he does is pushing on,i thought he would stop at some point but i think he wants to see how far he can go with this

Have you flown in supply/fuel?
You have masses of bombers you can use for this purpose. by the way, that is what he's doing as I can see from a SS.
Besides, I was talking about attacking the Rumanians further South, you should have a RR not that far away.
Your "Stalingrad" might just be his "Baku"?
Usually, players protect against the mistakes made historically, but make whole new ones
EDIT: fly the supply/fuel to the HQ, not the units directly. It seems to work better.

treu enough ,maybe i was to defensive although i did never really found an opportunity to gain the initative,i attacked once and cut off a whole chunk of his south front but lacked the power to keep it,atm hes keeping that RR cutt of every turn i have to reopen it and i cant get a RR unit there,he really doesnt make alot of mistakes but the airsupply is worth a shot ,didnt really try that because it shouldnt be really needed for the russian player because hes playing a home game, but ok :p
