The Soviet - Afghan War '79 - '89

Has anyone ever heard about an attempt to incorporate that particular conflict and theater into the game? Most of the time I have been puzzled and still am that there hasn't been a single scenario of it in the game as it seems, not in any of the latest installments I have the experience with and the knowledge of.
