Not sure if this thread will go anywhere, but I'll give it a shot anyways.

While I like the default music in Distant Worlds, I run into the same problem I do with a lot of strategy games. Sitting down for hours at a time, listening to the same music, after a while it gets irritating. I'm pretty sure it's even a form of torture, and studies have confirmed it a cause for forms of insanity.
While those examples may be extreme, still, it grates after a while.

Typically for games I spend a lot of time playing, I'll make or find playlists on youtube. I have one for X3 with Blade Runner-esque music and Cowboy Bebop-like jazz for example.

No doubt I'll soon get bored of this too, so I was wondering if anyone else does this, and if so, what your playlists are, or what you think a good playlist for this game is.

If a bunch of people post stuff, this should be a good resource for many many great playlists to keep our auditory experience of Distant Worlds fresh even through the longest of space epics!

Have you tried the picard mod? If so what do you think of the music?
