THINGS YOU MUST NOT DO IN MODDING

I open this thread where modders may say what must not be done in modding with the game (in editor, or CSV file)
My fisrt contribution is that :
Do not add this symbole in countries names in CSV countries file : -
exemple : Blue Land is good, Blue-land is bad
If you use "-" in names, the game will not crash but the editor will crash and then refuse to open the scenario

In addition : do not use majuscule letters in CSV files for names countries, except as first letter of name
Exemple : Blue Air Forces is good ; Blue AF is bad => crash editor (refuses to open the scenario)
When you do a modification in a CSV file, ALWAYS do a test 1/In game 2/ In editor (because, for exemple, the 2 pb mentionned here cause crash in editor (impossible to open the scen for other modifs to continue the work) but not any crash in game. So, if you just do the test with game, you will perhaps have a very bad surprise if later you try to re-open the scenario in editor to continue the work.
And do backup of your "last working scenario in editor and game", as security.

Don't touch anything that has to do with the naval units. Crashes every time for me and the consolout file always points to a naval unit.

Sorry Razz. I thought I sent you the turn. Coming right now.
I can't edit the naval units using the editor or going into excel. It crashes every time for me.
