Hey anybody got a good artillary design using cannons? I can't seem to find anything that works with out getting killed within the first 500 or so seconds of battle

Use Gauss Cannons/Autocannon 4's(at least 2 ammo slots for each gun, you'll probably miss quite a bit, unless you have godly cannon skill.). Decent computer, Decent scanner, Decent Heat reg, Low quality engine (just enough to power yer gadgets if you get them, i.e., shield+ecm, with 2 leftover for running, 3 if you expect to swivel quite a bit) jump ports can be a good idea, because best places to be are mountains, but if you need more armor and dont have nuf weight, toss the jump ports. put yer gadgets on, then armor the sucker good. Use Vicenium, unless yer low on space/weight, then use duralloy, or whatever it is...

well... erm... im glad to be taken as a "vet" but... im not a noob. I've played for quite some time, have a team with all 8 jocks piloting assault titans... but its an old version, so i cant use it. I've been playing sinice v1.2.1, just i never kept up on it, and didnt know a forum existed till a month ago.

Thor: oh, my mistake. I've never actually measured it, though from my experience it does(or seems to at least) take 1PU to swivel.

Correct, swivelling uses 1 PU. Walking 2 PUs, running and dodging 3 PUs. It's all in the manual.

And PUs are generated by an internal nuclear engine which consists of a Hampster on a running wheel which is constantly fed baked beans. The bigger the Hampster the more it farts, and the more the pilot says PU, thus generating power through an altogether effective, but extremely warped and slightly gross process.

so if i have an anti-hamster gun i can disable an enemy tos without killing the pilot or doing too much damage to it? (wish ful thinking )

I beleive something to that effect will be in the new ToS.
An EMP gun, or Electronic Mammal Paralyzer.
Should do the trick quite nicely.

ill just start saying NI! to the guy a whole bunch until he gives me a shrubbery that'll do the trick just as well

The stock Titan Annihilator is quite nice for [artillery]. If you don't like the pulse lasers just remove them and add armor or something. Thats the one of the beauties of the Factory. You can take a basic design and change it to match your needs. Then you can print them out and share them with friends/enemies.

Asking about a cannon Titan probably wanted a Recon or Light.
Their are at least three nice light titans who have cannons.

1- has 2 AC-4's and 3 AC-7's ( Slugger )
2- has 2 AC-4's and 2 AC-12's ( Bloodhound )
3- has AC-4, AC-7, Gauss Cannon & Machine Gun ( Spear )
