Here is our Order of Battle.

Here we go. I've said this game is Tank Centric, which as far as I've seen it is. BUT, here we are in a battle I have NO TANKS in. So much for this battle being tank centric.

This should be a good scenario to see how the infantry part of the game plays out.

Hmmmm....can the Soviets cross that river?

That's the biggest question in our defense of the area.

I'm sure they can. Much of their equipment is amphib capable. Question is will this Ruskie commander use that capability?

The river runs through the town and there is only a single bridge over the main river.

How to defend this.

At the very least considering amphib capacity for both sides, we don't want to get our backs to the river and have to try to retreat across it under fire.

Here is the north half of our AO defense.

The main route is mined to either slow the momentum of the attack, split the attack or force it to go to either side of the mine block area.

The battle plan is for us to stay fluid. So that we can respond to a threat from wherever the Soviets come at us.

We have the screen out front and the mine block on the road.

Groups A, B and C are set to reinforce that part of the line the Soviets push.

My kind of action! Starts within the first few seconds of the game starting.

Immediately the Soviet recon elements penetrate the minefield, apparently at no cost and attempt to overrun our forward position.

They are engaged before they even know they aren't alone.

We should have opened fire before they were right on top of us. They surprised us as well with how fast they penetrated our perimeter.

Having 2 vehicle sections doesn't give you much staying power when you lose them both.

The Scimitars are moving north to let the mine belt do it's damage and not get pinned by it. All the while moving and shooting.

After the initial contact the sides put some distance between themselves.
