Formula for AV

Is there a rough formula for AV of an infantry squad?
For instance, a "weak" squad with 8 bolt-action rifles and no automatic weapon...
Or the same squad with 7 rifles and a BAR...
How does one figure the rifle, squad automatic weapon, and rate of fire??
