Niilgaemun Federation X The Hives
SPOILER ALERT ON LATE GAME STORYLINE).
So, finally after several games on early versions I found DW Legends version Beta 1.7.0.14 pretty stable and played a game from start to finish. I took several screenshots and decided to make this complete AAR
EDIT: I counted 187 screenshots to post, so brace yourselves!!!
Next week I have an English exam for my Master degree so I will take this as an opportunity to practice the language, so any feedbacks about my grammar would be welcome (English is not my native language).
About the game:
I started a new game with the following config:
1st Screen:
Varied clusters
1400 starts
10x10 sector
Expansion = old
Difficult = Very hard
Aggression = normal
Reseach = very expensive
Space monsters and pirates = many
2nd screen:
Colony prevalence = abundant
Independents = teeming
Colonial influence range = 71%
No enforce colonization inside range.
3rd and 4th screens:
Race = Human
Home system= Excellent
Size= Expanding
Tech level = starting
Corruption= low
Government = democracy
5th screen:
No auto generated empires
19 manually created empires
Sluken – old – tech level 2 – distant
Gizurean and Boskara – expanding – tech level 1
All other races represented by starting size, tech level 1.
All race received excellent home system and are random (expected for the sluken)
Independents can start new empires
6th screen:
90% for all victory conditions
Race victory conditions enabled
Everything else enabled.
After the galaxy was created I opened the editor and checked the starting position for every race. As I was satisfied I made a few changes to make the game more challenging.
Sluken:
1-created 12 colonies – 4 (>20b) teekan desert planets with Korabian spice on each; 4 (>20b) gizurean volcanic plantes with zentabia fluid on each; 4 sluke marsh colonies with loros fruit on each. All colonies were created close to their capital to reduce corruption. Medium space port on each new colony.
2-Temple of darkness on sluken capital.
3-Gave them 20 colony ships and 10 constructions ships.
4-Place lot of gas and mining stations on their territory.
Gizurean and Boskara:
1-Placed a ruin on their capital increased their size to 399 and quality to 100%. Gave a ultra rare resource to each, according to planetary type.
The other races, including mine, remained unchanged.
For narrative I choose a RPG version as the leader of Niilgaemun Federation, which ruled trough the whole game.
