I have been wondering. Do you play with hexes visible on the map or with the hexes turned off, among other things.

You may want to change question 3 to a 'yes-no'. Very good questions.

Well, I cannot edit Q3 so perhaps it can be considered to be a short answer Yes/No by ignoring the last part of the question.

It will be quite useful to have some notion about this information when designing scenarios.

Hex grid off 98% of the time, music & weather SFX off, fast arty on, Op fire off, Scroll Delay=1, Live Delay=40, all others default.

For years, I would not attempt to play with Hex Grids turned off but fairly recently began playing without them in order to be able to appreciate the artwork in some of the maps.

To me, it is a shame to give up the much improved appearance of battle maps in order to have the hexes shown.

Please at least take the time to examine some of these maps without the hex grids. I think you'll like what you see.
