Problems with Stalingrad Campaign

In the briefing for the first mission I was told to buy a infantry company, among other things. I was also told that I wouldn't need to buy transport units. In the deployment phase they were there as promised, but I was told that I couldn't load my infantry because "auxiliary units can't load or be loaded during deploy".
So I put my infantry units besides the trucks and halftracks and ended the deployment phase. During the first turn I was told that the trucks were to far away to load the infantry units.

Is this on purpose or is it a bug? Either way it's pretty inconvenient.

Did nobody else notice that before me, so that it isn't fixed yet?

The units must be in the same hex to be able to load. Use Shift + Mouse click to move units to a hex which allready contains another unit.

Directly from the FAQ's page which I worked so hard in writing.

The unit to be loaded must be in the same hex as the vehicle, to do this hold down the “SHIFT” key then click the on the hex you wish place the unit in. The units will then move into the same hex provided the unit has enough movement points to get there. This is also the same way to stack multiple units into the same hex even if you don’t plan on loading them. Vehicles have size and weight limitations, if you try to load a unit you may receive messages such as can’t load unit is too heavy or can’t fit the entire unit do you still want to load( if you select yes this will load the maximum allowable personnel onto the unit causing you to lose some unit members if there wasn’t enough room).:D

tach kraut!!

this is no bug.

you cannot load during
the deploay phase.

must move both parties during the
forst turn to same hex and then load.

Thank you all!

Sorry about overlooking the FAQ, gmenfan. Your work is appreciated retroactively, I'll read it now!

(Tach yourself, Frank!)

No problem, just throwing a little sarcasium into the mix, and for further clarification on Frank W's statement, you can load during the deployment phase just not AUX units. Once you start the turn feel free to do what you will with them.

yep. to clarify further, you can load only units from your core+support force at the setup phase in campaigns. no units with aux status can be moved or loaded - they are set fixed from the camp designer. there is even a button that says "load all", but i use it rarely because the comp sometimes makes weird loading decissions..
