T1
NW Front - 16th Army moved to Pskov from Ukraine. AGN in historical lineup (no additional tanks from Goth). Possibly Leningrad will have a chance.

SW Front - Guderian's 46th Panzer corps is here to enforce AGS.

You are doing well it seems. And you have most of your army well organised already. It seems your opponent goes for the narrow approach.

Just a suggestion on display - as the Soviet, it's more instructive to show defensive CVs than movement (IMO). Otherwise good job. Watch the landbridge forces and the immediate Dnepr defenses - my last two games I have suffered large pockets there by hanging around too long.

great AAR so far.
one thing about the south:
you have absolutly no fort line at the east bank of dnjepr. i found it always better to let the SW and S front to fight the germans behind the dnjepr instead of weat of the river.
this way the units get a huge defensive bonus.
now he can easily build bridgeheads at the east bank what would be delayed until turn 6-8 when the russian player retreats behind the dnjepr.

Thanks Bigbaba!
From my experience there is no significant difference you do have level 2 forts on Dnepr or not. This wont help too much on T5-T6 when German infantry arrive. From the other side, on early turns it is more important for me to cover possible targets with armaments - D and Z towns and keep some units on west-side Ukraine for slowing maneuvers. The other issue - in this game I moved away from the South 16th Army and some other units. My South is seriously weakened. I am also trying to save each railway point to evacuate industry - I even don't move tanks on early turns.
But you are right - he made bridgehead on T5 but relatively weak. I will show some Soviet actions of T4 and later lets see what can we do with situation in Ukraine.
T4 Soviet. NW Front. Counterattack near Plissa. I think this is first whole-front Soviet operation, engaging 27th, 16th and 8th armies. Under their strikes were divided 8th Panzer division and 12th Panzer division. More than 135 tanks destroyed. Unfortunately we weren't be able to unblock Pskov, but anyways chances of Leningrad is getting better.

T4 Soviet, SW Front. Cutting off German tanks near Cherkassy. For the screened moment D and Z towns evacuated. Now nothing to fight at west bank. Cherkassy is the first town liberated by Soviet soldiers, at least for one week, but we will think how else can we disturb German agressors. Unfortunately, during HQ-bombing "pirates of Goering" killed commander of this operation - gen. Vatutin. Our answer will be immediate!
I must remark, that in air we got unlimited war - German use multiple bombings of our airfields, HQ bombing and hunting our fields. We also do our best to leave them without fighters until the mud, but already lost about 8000 planes against 800. Hope this situation will change soon. Mother Russia has lots of planes.
