I have a bit of an infantry unit floating at sea, it sits just over the little strategic map in the lower right. The rest of the unit sit on Timor, actually in the screenie it's right over the word Timor. I had invaded that hex with a SNLF from a fast transport. I just noticed it 2 days laters. When commanded to pick up the SNLF this bit of the unit got placed where it's at. FYI I have a save for the 8th ... I over wrote the 7th ... sorry.

What scenario is this?
Press '1' key and see what type of terrain is in the hex. On my map, it shows as OD which means that a TF shouldn't have unloaded there.
If it is showing land, then the pwhexe.dat file is at fault.

I am attaching a screenie ... it reads OD where that unit is out at sea, the bigger red circle. Now the rest of the unit is on Timor in the smaller red circle. I had invaded Timor and that unit did not totally unload from the FT TF. So I stopped the unloading and then reloaded the unit. Could that have cause this? I had done this before with no problem. But to place the unit or a piece of the unit way out to sea ... ???? FYI. I have the save. But I do not have the 4/7/42 save but I do have the 4/6/42 save.

Unloading is only suppose to be in a 'land' hex.
Send me the 6April turn. Was it unloading that turn? Or is it that turn you asked it to load?

Ok, what e-mail address do I use? I assume it's the PWS file.
The TF is partially unloaded on the 6th turn, the LCU has an order for combat with the allied unit.

You zip (compress) the file and upload onto this tech forum in the same way you do for screen shots.

Ah, I did not see the zip format in the up load window. This is the 4/6/42 file with the SNLF partially unloaded. Run the file and see if you get the same results. You might have to run the 4/7 turn for the Fast TF seems now to have stopped unloading. I tried to reloaded the fragmented unit then the floating unit appeared.

Here's the 4/8 file with the fragmented unit. These save file do not compress very much, or I am not using my Zip program correctly.

The save files will compress very little with a zip program. It's the nature of the save files and the way they are put together.

How was the TF stopped unloading? I can't see any button to stop the unload.

At the 4/6 turn I attacked the allied land unit their while the Fast TF was unloading. The following turn, the allied unit surrendered, the Fast TF was still unloading. I stopped the unloading then tried to re-embark the LCU. I believe that's when the fragmentation occurred. I inadvertently overwrote the 4/7 turn. I can't remember if the fragmentation took place due to the combat on 4/6 or the attempt to reload on the 4/7 turn. I'll try to repeat it.
Ok, I re-ran the 4/6 turn the Fast TF at Timor does have a problem it only partially unloads then stops. When I tried to reload the unit after the 4/6 combat again the TF stopped and left a fragmented unit at Timor but not way out at sea. The Fast TF also wouldn't move. So I created another Fast TF and transfered all ships to it then sent it to that near port to unload. I came back for the fragment unit embarked it and disembarked it at that same port. The fragments did re-combine.
