Hi All,

One last Beta Update is in the Members Club before making it official. It includes a couple more improvements and fixes, as listed below. Give it a try, and let us know how it works for you.

v1.5 beta – June 6th, 2012
    Fixes [/b][ul]
  • Added preference for "Brown Height Shading." Note that this preference may not take effect until the game is reloaded.
  • Possible fix for 'F' key to fire during bonus move bug.
  • Possible fix for load button enabled when unit is immobilized bug.
  • Possible fix for transparent map issue.
  • Changed font in game news.
[/ul]
v1.4 beta – June 1st, 2012
    Fixes [/b][ul]
  • Group pivot cost is now 1 AP.
  • Group hiding now properly hides all valid members of the group.
  • Added Pz38t to Monsters (including tutorial version)
  • Added terrain sculpting controls to the editor.
    • Enter "sculpting mode" from the Terrain menu. Use left and right mouse buttons to raise and lower terrain in a hex.
    • Added hot keys ">" and "<" to raise and lower terrain respectively.
    • Use "Editor | Rebuild Height" to smooth the terrain heights.
[/ul]
v1.3 beta – May 25th, 2012
    Fixes [/b][ul]
  • PageUp/Down should work for top-down camera.
  • Firing should not work during bonus move.
  • Tutorials should clear when exiting scenario early.
  • Fixed crash bug.
  • Now can’t load two units onto one unit.
  • Fixed extra action card and CAP bugs when loading save from within the game.
  • Shouldn’t get VPs for destroying own units.
  • Group should stay selected in the middle of move when left-clicking on ground.
  • Fixed Group hiding and pivot.
  • APC should be tracked not wheeled. (May not be changed in all firefights.)
  • Buttons should not press when interface is hidden.
  • Fixed Multiplayer save game directory error on certain machines.
  • Seeding random number generator from clock.
Improvements
  • Added check box to allow game to play system beep whenever a player posts a new chat message in lobby.
  • Added preference to allow all units to be displayed above all scenery models.
  • Now positioning carried units atop the unit carrying them (chit view).
  • Extra 1d6 APs card now gives APs to all units in group. However it adds them as if from CAPs, so these APs are lost if the group is disbanded.
  • Group activating a unit will now add the unit carried or the carrier unit to the group
Interface now shows name of carried unit on the unit tooltip.
  • Added some missing damage types (including Berserk).
  • In tutorial scenarios the AI no longer receives extra units or CAPs regardless of difficulty settings.

Don't forget to add a Pz-38t into the Monsters scenario, it's in the boardgame version but it's absent in the PC version. From my understanding the scenarios are supposed to be identical between the boardgame & PC. Thanks

Hi guys,

We already have more changes in the works - this public beta was available internally over a week ago, so some changes discussed here have already been made internally and will show up in the next public beta.

Regards,

- Erik

Most scenario maps are broken in this update, suggest waiting for the next patch.

Yeah, I noticed that it messed up my maps as well.

Maybe also fix the unit placement in editor where units are placed while pushing other buttons in editor.

I do like the other damage counters, nice enhancement.

v1.4 beta – June 1st, 2012
    Fixes [/b][ul]
  • Added Pz38t to Monsters (including tutorial version)
In the monsters scenario the Germans are supposed to have initiative. The reason why it's not a randomly determined scenario is because it's probably assumed the German player should get first chance to through up some smoke.

Show units above scenery not working? Clear terrain goes black and trees are still displayed on top of units, on my system anyway.

Using 1.4 beta version.

We didn't try to add initiative for the Germans in this patch, so it's not surprising that you're not seeing this. Please refer to the version history at the top of the thread for the list of changes.

Yes, I get the same problem.

I'll take a closer look at the code. It *seems* to be working properly for me. Is it working for anyone else?

Could you start a post in the tech support sub-forum, listing your system specs and noting any settings you may have changed? It is running properly on our test systems.

I downloaded 1.4 beta and noticed a small display bug. I loaded a pioneer unit onto a Pz38t moved it a few hexes and pivoted it when I noticed the pioneer unit no longer appeared riding on the chit in 2d mode. I switched to 3d mode and the pioneer unit appeared riding on the tank OK. Switched back to 2d and it was gone again. I can't say when the unit originally disappeared in 2d. It could have been when I loaded it onto the tank. I never noticed until I took this screenshot.

Norton is picking up a Suspicious.Mystic threat when I try to download it, I am guessing because its a brand new file and the Norton community has'nt had any input on it. It is safe right? Thanks
