How do You Prevent Ships from Seeking Unneeded Repairs

I have ships on manual control. My designs often have 10-15 enhanced armor in mid-game. Average engagement punches a few of the armor out, perhaps 1-3 components (nothing that would send them across the galaxy to a shipyard for repair especially in the middle of a war). Yet, that is exactly what they are all doing. How do I prevent this apart from not putting any armor on the ships?

Woh, how will not putting armor on your ships prevent this? Cause it wont. Damaged ships want to repair. Its stupid. I cope by prioritizing repair bots. For the same reason I love the Ikkurru (sp?). But otherwise, i hope you enjoy clicking cancel a lot!

Change their battle tactic to "Never Retreat", and they will stop buggering off in the middle of a battle.

Fishman - thank you. I will have to keep that in mind next time I upgrade a design and change that setting.

You dont need to upgrade to change that setting. You can always change engagement policy.

99% sure.
