Is anyone have Multiplayer crash problems

I just had my first human battles. We had two FREEZES which turned into crashes. The first scenario GAP went until almost the last turn. The second one BUNKER went until Turn 1 or 2. I just remembered there was some sort of goofy thing happening with a premature Turn end, but I will save that for another day.
I have two questions;
(1) is anyone else having this problem?
(2) Can the HOST SAVE every few minutes? And if so, this would solve our problem.., correct?

No but I tried to play the same guy you did after you left and it didn't seem to work. Not sure if it's because he just left or if he was having connection issues.

The host can save the game frequently. I believe Slitherine was updating the server yesterday; that may have caused these problems. Is anyone still seeing this?

The problem happened to me even before and after the upgrade.
Sometimes at game start, sometimes during the opponent's turn, I get a message like: "waiting for the opponent player to load the scenario, press ESC to cancel" / "your opponent did not responded since X seconds press ESC to cancel" and even waiting for 3-4 minutes nothing happens.
It occurred with different opponents as well, until this message the speed seems to be fine.
If I remember well does not matter who hosts the game...

Hi guys,
Freezes and crashes are not typical for multiplayer at all. It's possible we have a new bug or that someone had a very bad connection. Please keep reporting any issues, we will be running some test games to try to duplicate them here as well. If we can find an issue, we'll release a quick fix.
In the meantime, if you are experiencing this, please do save frequently.
Regards,
- Erik

Winti and I just tried for 45 minutes to connect. Often we could not see each others chat in the hosted game lobby. When we finally did load a game, all I ever saw was "Waiting for Winti10 to load the game". And it never got past that.
Winti10 said that he was still in the game lobby when I told him I was in game with the "waiting for Winti10 to load" message. Very weird
Hopefully this can get resolved ASAP, because the wargamer tournament is in full swing.

I was in a game like that, my opponent was having issues and I was getting the "waiting" text. We tried to do several games and kept getting the same message finally he turned off his firewall for the game and we where able to play

Thanks JFalk68. I'd read that there are some firewalls that stop applications from creating outgoing TCP sockets, but I hadn't heard of anyone having this problem before now. Instead of disabling the firewall, which some people don't like to do, it's probably possible to create a rule to allow COH to create outgoing connections.

Seems to be running repeated ping command in the background helps to keep my 3G connection stable and no more freeze
