Hi,

I will launch just for fun a contest for you guys.

The goal is to destroy the greatest Soviet airplanes on the first turn of campaign 41 using exclusively Airfield attacks.

RULES

1. You use campaign 41 version 3.2 + both human + even.

2. You use exclusively Airfield attack with your German airforces to destroy as many soviets aircraft as you can.

3. There will be no plot moves at all.

4. When finish you save your turn and send it to me at CRAZY_HORSE007@PANDORA.BE

5. Every week I will post the classification with name and number of destroyed aircrafts on these forum here. In order to keep these challenge exciting until the end, the name of the first three will be mentionned but not the numbers of aircrafts destroyed.

6. The contest will begin September 1th 2002 and take an end on December 31th 2002.

Every helps, comments and tips are welcome.

For the Newbies,

Maximize your attacks, you have some long range bombers hide in HQ far away from the front use them.

The Me-110 is a powerfull tools, he count like bombers when put on escort and then if you leave them rest for one attack it can be convert to airfield attack for a last attack.

Leningrad Hq have a great numbers of airplane and is not so far away from yours Northen Hq.

Any others tips are welcome

what rules ? one German HQ attacks one Russain HQ max and
then can attack other HQ's ? no limit ?

Just a question : is it because you live in Zaventem that you're so fed up with planes and want to shoot down them all ? or you had shares in the SABENA ? I'm myself on the northern route (when wind blows north - translate nice weather) the sky above my house is full of planes - what about installing a Bofor on the roof and care to join me ?

No limits at all about Hq attacks; you are just limited with the available aircrafts.

I like the sound of those planes even at 6.00 in the morning.

Sure I will keep you inform if I change my mind and begin to shoot down some planes with my catapult.

6341 planes. looks like another version of Marianas shooting ducks show.
Hq in Italy, OKW and OKH can launch attacks on close russian airfields.
I wasted an attack on North Cauc. HQ (no planes there). I'll check where the russian planes are effectivily located and launch another attack - i could o 6500+...
What about other way round ? no move no nothing from German side and Russia attacks ?

I hate these palnes coming on low oer my house. one right now. how can one live close to an airport ? have doubleglazing insulated and acoustic ?

Just did the great patriotic assault ...
Hitler is lured on peace on the east by Stalin. Doesn't attack on 22.06 and Stalin orders a preemptive strike.
So : you play both sides, do nthing with german and assault with Russians.
Score to beat :
79 german planes destroyed, while losing 1028 A/C.
actually, my first and second last strrikes went through. No other did. Goering was not yet beaten.
