Hi everyone,
I haven't posted here for quite a while, but this is still one of my favourite places on the internet. [:)] That's why I thought it would be a good idea to ask you about my little dilemma.
I'd like to start playing Space Rangers, sine everybody says it's such a great space game, but I don't know which version is the best. I've seen reviewers stating both that Space Rangers 2: Dominators is better than Reloaded and vice versa. I'd like to know what you think about this subject.

Well, I haven't played much of any of them, for one simple reason - there's a new version coming later this year!

Space Rangers HD

Space Rangers HD: A War Apart features all of the content of the original game and Reboot, plus a way to play from the pirates point of view. It also includes new ship upgrades, adventures, planetary and hyperspace battles, and updated HD graphics along with a refined interface.

So I'm just waiting for that before I jump in headfirst.

I got Space Rangers 2 a few years ago and loved it, but havent tried Reloaded so cannot say

Never heard of it. The screenshots are all in Russian so I guess it is a Russian game. Was it released in the US?

....and for the OP, Space Rangers 2: Dominators is my choice. Although the side quest
narratives were poorly translated from Russian to English. But I still think the game is
fantastic. [:)]

The poorly translated Russian simply adds to the charm. That game is charming, it really is. I wonder why I haven't played it in about 5 years? (Goes to fire it up....) Ah... it's still good!
EDIT: I remember now what I particularly like about. The difficulty seems to scale. It can be challenging right up till the very end of end-game. That's VERY unusual for just about any non-FPS game.

I have Space Rangers 2: Complete and I love it. That's awesome news about an HD version coming.

Each new version was better than the previous one in my view...seems similar to DW in this regard. As for this new one which just came out....it was mostly done by fans so it is awesome.
According to the company, if this sales well we'll get to see a SR3.

Sadly SR2 always crashes for me in the Mech Land Battles (and as an old Mechwarrior guy, it is a part of the game that I want to play)
