Headquarters Benefits Heirarchy

8th Army HQ
- XX Corps HQ - the HQ for the formation
- 37th Division HQ
- 73rd Bde

Does the 73rd Bde gain more benefit from being within range of the 37th Div HQ than from being only within range of the XX Corps HQ, or even being only in range of the 8th Army HQ?

Fairly sure I understand how this would work out in the real world, but not sure about in TOAW world.

Update
Just saw this:
TOAW III doesn't have a hierarchy. Units are associated by Formation only. There is no higher linkage. However, depending upon the designer's choices, formations may be associated by color schemes - which may affect cooperation between their units.

Seems to suggest only HQ providing any benefit is the XX Corps HQ and that the Division HQs are useless eye candy. I'm confused.

A unit will receive a supply boost from any adjacent cooperative HQ. Whether the HQ is cooperative depends upon designer choices for Formation Support Scope and unit color schemes.

If the HQ of the unit's formation is destroyed (or all the command squads in that HQ are lost) the Formation's Proficiency is halved - making combat reorganizations of the formation more likely.
