Editor:Changing Nations Alliance

Browsing the Editor and the manual and seem to be missing something.

In an existing scenario, how would I change which nations are members of an alliance?

I am looking at a 1980s Gulf scenario and it has Syria and Iraq as allies of Iran. Syria,OK both are Baath Party states, but certainly not Iraq. I just want to make Iraq neutral unless attacked. Later I might investigate events and how Iraq could join in on one side or the other, but for the moment I is both difficult and irrational to have to fight Iraq and Iran as allies in this time frame.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Opps - sorry wrong place.

There are only two force possibilities in TOAW, so neutrals and switching sides require some extra work.

If you want to move Iraq's force from one to the other, you need to delete all the units from one side and add them to the other.

If you want Iraq to be neutral at start and then join one side at some point, start all the formations of Iraq in Garrison Mode, then set an event to switch the formations to a non-Garrison Mode when desired.

If you want Iraq to be neutral and then join either side depending on events, you need to have an Iraq force in each side of the oob, and then set the events accordingly.

Neutrals don't work very well as one side or the other will always treat them as friendly.
