Why no Army Groups A & B?

Just curious about Vic's decision to leave out Army Groups A & B in Case Blue, whereas the Army Groups were included in Warsaw to Paris?
No biggie, just wondering. I assume to remove a someone needless level of OOB.... but the historically accurate part of me wants List and von Weichs included....

In fact, I asked myself the same question. I'm eager to learn the rationale behind this design choice.

Well there is no single reason i can pin point. It is a combination of things.
1. The Soviets did not have a comparable command level. (the soviet strategic directions don't really count i think)
2. OKH was doing so much micro management at this time that armygroup level decisions were basically moved to the fuhrer bunker. They look nice on the map, but in reality... (Mansteins Don Army Group being the exception i guess)
3. It helped keep things a little bit more simple for AI coding.
4. Actually the armygroups don't have that much extra function on top of the lower HQs in DC:WTP. They are just added for flavour basically.
5. There's a lot of renaming of Armygroups and adding and removing going on.
I just felt i could simplify things here a little bit at a little cost in historical modelling. I do however miss them myself too to be honest. Maybe not all my decisions are perfect
