I'm playing OP: Uranus as the Axis and I noticed the 14th Pz. Div. isn't included in 6th Army. I'm pretty sure it should be there.

It's a breeze for the Sovs against the normal AI, imo. I don't mean this as a criticism of the AI, since the situation is so bad at the start that it is probably expecting too much from a mere AI to rescue it. It would be difficult enough even for a human opponent.

You are right. At some point during the campaign it was attached to the 6th Army. Just a few days ago I was looking over a map of the Stalingrad Kessel. I believe the 14PD held the far left portion of the line West to SW of Stalingrad right after the Soviets closed the pocket at Kalach.

Maybe this should be entered in the bugs reporting section?

Its in my Case Blue campaign game, under the ummm..1st Panzer Army/XIV Korp

You find a mistake in the historical OOB in this scenario.
The 14th should have been there.
Putting this on the fix list for the upcoming patch.

Well, keeping in mind this is my first game AND I haven't read much of the manual (skimmed it through) it's clear Stalingrad is doomed to being cut of even on Normal AI.

That's good. Excellent really.
So I decided at turn 2, it wasn't worth trying and started to fall back (that did cost me 10 prestige). What I really like is that falling back isn't that easy. Disengaging and retreating that mass of infantry is challenging! And the AI is pursuing relentlessly. Pushing in the flanks hard. The speed of the advance towards Kotelikovo (and South of it) is surprising certainly!

Again, it's my first game so take this with a grain of salt.

Sov gets 14 prestige for grabbing Stalingrad before Jan 3, just fyi. This can easily start snowballing: exchange 10 prestige for 60 pp, get some reinforcements/replacements, and still have 4 prestige left over to cover yourself in case STAVKA gives you some crazy objective. (I was given Taman on a totally unrealistic schedule. No way is that falling by mid December.)

So abandoning the city is not an easy choice. It could blow up in your face. Then again, I'm wondering how the Axis is supposed to hang on to it until January. Maybe the AI wasn't supplying it by air very well, but 6. army died fast in my game.

Interesting, but I was supposed to hold it till March to earn the prestige.
Still, holding till January to deny the Sovs their prestige would also be very difficult.
And at what cost?

You'll need 6th Army further West certainly!
