Why no NATO symbols and strength symbols number

Can someone declare to me, why the developer can manage , or do not want to, that we can see on the counters the NATO symbols and the strength number? [&:]
The counter are fine.
The NATO symbols make big part of the atmosphere.
However, if I want to see the strength numbers on the counters, I have to choose the ugly, repulsive, and completely inappropriate mode with these ridiculous silhouettes. [:@]
I talking about maximum zoom, if Iwant to look at my units in the hex not behind each other / with each other but side by side (spread mode).
