Ok trying to get a PBEM game going. We are newbies well last time I played regulary was what in 2003 I think
Must be loosing it I guess.

I completed my turn as the Japanese player in scenario 2 for Dec 7th, hit end turn and saved to slot #5.
Emailed to the allied player my turn and he saved his turn to slot #10. Loaded the allied turn in slot #10 watched the combat results and saved it to slot #5 in order to work on my Dec 8th turn.

Why when I load my Dec 8th turn fromslot #5 I get------>

"The save does not seem to be from an end of turn PBEM game" Continue Y or N

So what gives? with this message. Never seen this before.

Because you saved it in that slot, it is not an end of turn file, but a saved file. It should be fine.

Would this effect Tracker in some way though Dan?
Is this the way most people save their turns?

I have at least 2 saves (one end turn and the other and incremental save as I input my orders)
As the Japanese player -
1. Tracker has Dec7 turn loaded.
2. Dec7 turn comes back from the Allies.
3. Run Turn - the save is still Dec7
4. Save turn after replay and the save is now Dec 8
5. Load the turn into Tracker.

Slots don't really matter. But looking at what you have - I'd keep Slot 10 as the PBEM End Turn slot and Slot 5 as the incremental. So, when getting the turn back save in slot 10, run the turn and then save to slot 5. When doing end turn save to slot 10 and send...

Hope this clears it up ...

In my game with Floyd we agree on the PBEM slot before we start (usually 4) and then I save to slot 6 for my incremental. Keeps is easy.

Thanks ETF, I too have the same problem or concern and from the above I don't see an answer. I save my game to file slot 18 and then when the turn is finished I save to slot 15 and send that to my Jap opponent. However whenever I open up the game from my saved slot 18 (not slot 15 which is the move slot sent from my Jap opposition) I get what ETF gets, the same yes or no message about it being a PBEM saved game. When I hit yes, all is fine. But I would prefer to understand how to avoid this and I don't see an answer....Hal

Loaded the allied turn in slot #10 watched the combat results and saved it to slot #5 (B) in order to work on my Dec 8th turn.

The save (B) in slot #5 is now an in-turn save after you save it. The original end-turn save (A) that was in #5 has been over-written.
