Both good questions. The Manual is the weakest part of this game?

2) Stacking limit in town is 100.
Beyond, you have penalties.

I don't agree, a lot of things are intuitive in this game.
There is no need systematically of three pages of explanation for every little thing. And that changes of AE's and WitE's monsters which are discouraging.

True but the manual isn't a strong point of the game. There are a lot of things that are not clear to many people.

I think the manual is okay. I've had a few questions, but the manual got me up and running pretty quickly.

Yes. For example, we know the time scale, but nowhere could I find the ground scale mentioned.
Not strictly necessary information, I guess, but of some interest/importance to some of us trying to wrap our heads around the way things work.

I know 100 is stacking limit but when you have a town with 3 air units where do you find what their stacking number is

Their stacking value is the number of planes in.
A air unit with 45 fighters generates a stack of 45.

Look at the many question-threads in the forum?
Questions to which the manual is silent.
Or do you mean all the questioners here are so insensitive that they are not receptive to intuition?

No, i only mean that saying "the manuel is a disaster" seems to me largely exagerated.
I know it is not perfect and some things are missing but it is not a disaster and it is largely easier and faster to understand and to be able to play that the one of WitE or AE.
[:)]
For me, it is a good work and the forum is here for more questions and understanding.
By the way, does someone know what mean "RTR-ING", "RTR-ED", "!"?? (RTR = Retreat)
It is not in the manuel i guess. [:@]

I know I've seen the answer in any forum.
But where?
I still don't know why there are two columns in the individual list!
But I know - it is not in the manual! [8|]

There are two columns because one describes the element's state at the beginning of that round of combat, and one describes its state at the end of the round of combat. If the first column is empty and the second says DEAD, then that element began that round alive and ended it dead. If both columns say DEAD, then that element began (and ended) that round dead.
RTR means retreat (retreated, retreating), as far as I can tell.
Yes, the manual doesn't answer every question like this, but I was able to figure these out on my own. I agree that it's a vast overstatement to call the manual a "disaster." I learned the game mechanics perfectly well from the manual, even though I'd never played DB 1.
