The ninth button in the button bar, with a plus sign over the black/green unit.
Hover the mouse over it, then it says: Sub Unit Options (add, remove, change).

So how to remove a unit?

my mistake. you cannot, this functionality is not present in DC:CB, i'll fix the mouse over in v1.03!
