Game editor crashing

I've just bought the game and updated to v1.9. The game seems to work, but the game editor crashes as soon as I click on the link, or directly in the game folder. I'm running windows 7 and have tried altering the Properties on the editor to give it administrator rights and set compatibility for XP - just in case. None of that seems to have made te slightest difference. Any suggestions?[&:]
