In the middle of the first MP Game

I'm just pondering over the Map of the Guadalcanal scenario on turn 8 on the Jap side in a game with a friend of mine who started looking into the game with me (which was... a little over a week ago?). We both don't know diddly squat and stumble along where the path takes us (edit: reading AARs or dabbeling a few turns against the AI on normal doesn't really prepare you for the onslaught that is this game in MP).
Playing against the AI was fun.. but this is a completely different thing altogether.
Even if its only the little spec of sea around Guadalcanal I'm thinking about every move at least twice, wondering if I will ever have a decent amount of supplies, dreading the range of those darn B-17s (I think he feels about the same way about the bettys as he ventured to close to Rabaul once and the Chicago caught herself 2 long lances.. (shes still afloat though)
edit: not the Chicago.. I missed her... it was the North Carolina)
Every single one of you that predicted that game might very well suck up a good part of my sparetime is definitely right.
This is so much fun.
