[Amount 2] Nedrear Side Modifications

Introduction
In this thread I will offer people a choice of my step by step modifications instead of my whole GW II package.
All of these are free to use in other mods. Credits are free to give, but not mandatory.
Finished:
Decal Mod v.1
This mod replaces the standard ingame decals. They can be chosen seperately. One must not simply choose all. If you like one take it. If you like all take all. If neither ignore it.
GW II Character Decal Mod
Resource Mod v.1.1
Completly revised resource system with proper galactopedia to explain their function in the world. This might help some roleplayers. Further as we all wanted the polymer is reduced to its prestate again: OIL!
Note: This mod changes core files which are not supported in elliots mod folder. You need to directly implement them. Make a save file!

- Updated Gametext File to 1.7.0.16
- Removed old Resource Pictures in the Galactopedia
- Changed Rainbow Gems and Radon

- Updated the mod for Universe and removed the obsolete game text file, since it is now compatible as a customization theme
You can and are allowed to include it in other mods. You have to check the compatibility yourselves though.

I still want to "optimize" the galactopedia in the resource mod by linking the correct pictures into the file. Yet the VML does not take my link to the previous folder. What do I have to change?
Works not!

I like the resource changes a lot... except rainbow gems . Everything sounds so scientific until you get to that one.

It does not change my problem, but I will think about another option. I decided all these in the past year. I might come up with a good reason for a volcanic resource dominating modern civilization and developement.

These below have changed. Some might notice I switched Radon for Xenon in the next version. Radon was a bad choice in my opinion. I'll think about rainbow gems too. I could use their light prism picture for the Bolarian diamond instead.

I finally found the time and an idea to replace the really simple minded rainbow gems on volcanic worlds. The result is again highly scientific and totally rare in the univerese... at least in this proportion. Their simpler brethren are not that rare. Overall it will be a dangerous resource in a roleplay kind of way with a lot of benefit and danger thereby allowing a 30% development boni to be acceptable.

Where did you took the idea of Stardust as a common fuel from? I seem to recall it being in some movie or game but I can't remember in which one?

All higher radiactive particles are created in a star collapse compressing the energetic neutral iron to higher weight fusion atoms through a gravity collaps. Its simply the leftovers of stars, therefore all radioactive particles weighing more than iron and used in a complex breeding reactor are stardust. Its a collective name for these particles used as a fuel.

Well can't help if you are disappointed, but I got no easter egg references in my mods. They all are based on logic, which in this case was the main factor in the resource overhaul.

Before trying to sound smart while being ignorant you should have researched your full hand. You got a bad joker in your last pair.
The Caduceus is not a medical symbol on its own and was first and foremost the symbol of high priest talking for their god, later used as a symbol for negotiators and diplomats.
Your people, I take it you are from America, simply took it to represent ONE medical corp in the past and from that derived it as a symbol for your medics. It is NOT its real purpose. Get over it and research facts before defying another person.
For future reference how to make an argument:
1. Have a thesis based on some kind of information.
2. See if your partner in this discussion got one of his own.
3. Check if you have ANY evidence in your favor or expect to get ignored or seem like a troll.
4. Check if your partner got evidence in his favor too and prepare a counter. If you started the discussion it is your job to evaluate his position properly. You should validate his information before denying it outright.
5. Try to find common ground afterward.
You went wrong at step 3. You did neither offer proof of your point and neither checked mine. I did both for you. Now troll another mod.
Edit: Oh and please check your grammar and words. I am not a native to the English language and got less errors in one sentence.
Actually for the Decal Mod I got 19.

Who cares if it's medical symbol or greek metaphor for poo??? All what matters is that it looks well in the game.
And for the record, I for one find this mod interesting

(although admittedly, Nedrear's logic is sometimes hard to follow) it sure is an interesting idea to tweak resources here or there. It introduces sth new to the gameplay which is always nice. I see no reason to get upset about it :/ u don't like it, don't play it....

why whould you think im have aggression just because i dont like smart ass kids who come online and try 2 show the world how smart thet are.............lol funny... you say who cares??? you must if you took the time to replay.....lol And to the kid ehsumrel1.please it not like its hard to mod this game.. yes i do like some peoples work.. but when your gull of yourself not so much... why do you guy think you are the only ones who can say anything about this game.. you guy run more people away than you help.. it like this is your own game..........lol.... ITS A GAME KIDS...
I'm pretty sure I'm not the first or the last to tell him how rude and obnoxious he is... I've been watching these message boards for little while.. I have seen numerous occasions of him being very rude and obnoxious.. always trying to call into question someone else's grammar or intellect.. it's just absolutely annoying.. and that's what I was commenting on

Well, I respect that you have your own opinion and view on the matter, even if I completely disagree with it. To be honest I find your attitude very judgemental and unpleasantly condescending. You should work on that, no one likes such ppl. But that's of course only my opinion.
My suggestion regarding posts you don't like is: don't view them. As for the forums members that you dislike: ignore (there's a special button for this u know). No one wants to read twice about how much you dislike sth...
