Mr. JJ since our game is almost finished I will make a suggestion. I was thinking about trying something different out (that is why I was going with someone else since I know that you are a Tank-guy). But you will probably like this and I need the tank experience (since you know that I am an infantry-man).
AN ALL AFV battle.
No infantry.
No artillary.
No ATG's.
No AIR.
No Mines.
Map of rolling hills.
Time period of June 1941- November 1945.
Countries one of us Axis the other Allies.
Points 15,000.
Large Map
Visibility 10-15
What do you think?

I tried a all AFV once I didn't like it, contrary to popular opion I like small mortars alot.
Your humbled( not for long) opponent:D
DON't MAKE ME GO GOBLIN ON YOU:rolleyes:
P.S. Not a Tank guy, I prefer "one who Kills tanks well" when I learn some from you about infantry whatch out:D

Not to butt in here, but what's with the small mortars? M4 Jess is dropping 81mms on me and, like always, I get a little suppression and no casualties. Then in comes the 60mm mortars and I start laughing like he's shooting a popgun at me. What happens, you ask? I nearly lose a FT squad! A 60mm lands and I take one casualty, another lands and I take another casualty!

Why did that happen? Is there something special going on with those 60mms or was it just coincidence?
And VikingNo2, thanks for the tip in one of the threads here about you liking the US 60mm Jeep. I'm playing Schafschutze in the WorldCup and I needed all the smoke I could get and those guys are cheap! With plenty of smoke ammo, unlike the regular 60mm mortars. Very nice.
Ok fine, be that way

I will take the Russians I would prefer a time period of 44-45 much of my stuff gets phased out after 45. No prelaid mines, 2 air each. Rarity off, reduced squads off. Reduced ammo on. Oh and I do count the little 50mm and 60mm mortars in the 10%. So I do not want to see 50,000 little 60mm Jeeps running around the field.
I have slots 3, 4, 6, 7,9, 12 open set it up and send it along.

The jeep I can see, but the 60mm mortar ground?
Yes I think the 60mm should count

Considering that they have a range of 40 and most Ranger Companies have a 60mm mortor that had 2-4 tubes each. That would give you a huge advantage.
The 50mm I could care less about with only a range of 10 but still I have used thoughs very effectivly before.

For me mortors are not killing machines. They are suppresion machines. 60mm and 81 mm are both big enough to kill a tank with a top hit and rout or retreat infantry with enough hits. Not to mention they are much better with precision bombing. You can drop a 81mm mortor barage 2 hexes in front of your infantry line. But I would not try that with 8 inchers or Rockets.
Once the infantry is retreating you bring out your halftracks and your Quad 50 and erase them from the map with overruns well you get the general idea.

Hey, I play other armies besides Russia. 'bout 2/3 of my PBEM so far, in fact.
Just haven't figured out decent tactics yet for the Sovs. That's where you come in Viking, I need a somewhat competent player to test my ideas on.
(No offense intended towards my other opponents, of course)
