Fortress Isle

Well, just wondering if anyone else has run into the problem of conquering Ireland...
Playing Germany, I had successfully executed Sealion and on a lark decided to take Ireland. I bombed the defenders of Dublin to 0, parachuted in, attacked the defender that was down to 0, and... nothing. I parachuted in 4 more units and simultaneously attacked the defender that was at 0 strength, and... nothing. My units eventually went out of supply and they were easily mopped up by the Irish.
I built a submarine out of Manchester. Tried to move it out. Nowhere to move it to... It is stuck in port with none of the sea squares available anywhere for me to move the submarine to. I include this item in this report because this occurred just across from Ireland... Is something wonky up with this part of the map...? Sorry, I may be doing something wrong, but can't figure out what.
