Hi,

I have bought my version at GamersGate, and after doing a clean install of Windows last week I downloaded and installed the 1.3 version of Scourge of War. I did not start it up, but applied the patch. The installer didn't give me an option of changing the destination directory so it gave me "C:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg".

After the patch installed I copied all the files from the "C:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg" onto my real game location at "D:\Games\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg".

It seems that it works ok, but is the 1.50 patch a full update or should I go for the 1.4 etc? And is it ok to patch it this way?

Ahhh reading the "readme.rtf" gives me this:

"The version 1.5 patch is cumulative, you do not need to install earlier patch versions. Installing this patch over the base game installation will get you completely up to date."

If I may jump in here. There is now another update/revised patch you can download from Matrix which is suppose to address a couple of issues which you have described in your first post. Just thought I would pass that along.

I just purchased the Gettysburg game and it will not load, everytime we try to load the game the Response is ...

Gettysburg Stopped working...A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notifty you if a solution is available.

Any idea what's my problem?
