12K pts, 4 air sections, 10% arty, no mines

Germans opened up with a bombardment and 4 Luftwaffe sorties. One Bf-110 was shot down, the rest well damaged so I don't expect to see them again for a while Some infantry was lost due to the bombardment and air raids. Also AA truck was killed. I expected heavier losses so I guess it's a good start. Soviet artillery was way off the targets so I even won't describe it.

Soviet Arty did kill 30 or 40 trees, and 10 endangered woodpeckers, Greenpeace will be contanting you shortly God help you:rolleyes:

Recon does not spot anything, Reds are sneaky pun intended;)

Let's see, this turn Germans lost 3 recon vehicles (KWs) all due to HMGs, also the MCs got some beating. Partisans continue to make good progress by taking out an ammo carrier. Also another troop found a concentration of some armor in the very back.

Somehow super Partisan made it to the very back in two turns


Kill four or five partisan squads and a couple MC

I liked this turn a lot. Soviet arty suppressed some ATGs. Il-2s made a nice run at the top of the southern hill destroying whatever was sitting there including another ATG. Still just recon forces skirmishing.

Viking, have you ever used partisans?

Yes I have but 30+ hexs in two turns come on man you got to admit thats just silly

Again, mostly artillery exchange as the forces are moving closer. Il-2s killed a truck and halftruck. Partisans couldn't find anything this turn but were discovered so I don't expect that unit to last long.

Killed two more Partisan's can't see too many Russians but recon elements smell Vodka

Good work by partisans again. Killed ammo carrier and Wurf. 40 on the same spot. Also Germans lost a halftrack, 2 KW recon vehicles and that daring Spec Ops unit. Soviets lost AA truck and ZiS 30.

Half the Russian army are partisans, not much this turn

It just apperas to be so. Appearances are deceptive. Partisans strike again taking out KW recon vehicle and Pz III. Soviets lose T-28 and Il-2 I may have overused partisans this time but I had games just before this one where my opponent was quite good in handling them. If need be I'll order ceasation of all guerilla activities.

Weary Germans know the fight is going to get heavy soon the German regulars are starting to wonder why they are in Russia anyway. Some other Germans in cool looking black uniforms hear this and show these German the burn bodies from the tank crew that was just destroyed. Moral has been restored


As they Black clad uniforms leave, notes are taken, on the address of the soldiers families in Berlin, just so the "SS" can keep in thouch if more moral is needed :rolleyes:

Multiple losses on both sides included German ATG and LaS 76 and Soviet ZiS 30 and T-28E and multiple infantry. German Air Force flew two Bf-110 that managed to destroy a tank and 2-3 squads of infantry. Soviet Il-2s flew several missions in the north and one in the south with no apparent kills.

As usual kill more Partisans find more Partisans, the lines are getting very close 6 or more KV-1 ones attacking inmass down south:eek:

Soviets are advancing across the whole front line. Losses on both sides. South and central parts are subjected to heavy bombardment and smoke screen. In the north , the advance is slower due to losses in AFVs and mortar fire.

Fighting is heavy everywhere, Soviet Offboard arty has got to be low on ammo, a couple of russian tank crews bail, and several of those little TDs die. An even larger armor force is spotted headed toward the center Vhexs:eek:

Oh yeah almost forgot, killed a couple partisan squad this turn

Things are not going well in the south. KV/T-28 group got pretty shaken up with multiple losses. In the north, another brave KV faces Pz III and StuG and gets blown up. The reserve company is advancing to provide back up.
