unable to find uv data

I am trying to update version 2.3 to 2.5 and seem to be having similar problems to mggarnett regarding INI file for a user by the name of Gregory Wilcox and it points to directories on his
computer. It also has references to the Matrix LAN MATRIX-PHOENIX.
I try to start the game but get black screen with the message unable to find uv data.Any help would be much appreciated
